Animatics

Here’s a couple of animatics I produced while in Sheridan College’s Post-Grad Computer Animation Program. If you’re not familiar with the term “animatic” , they are also referred to as “leica reels” and are used in the earlier stages of the film production process,  combining storyboards within a time-line (and animating them in a more minimalistic way) and adding some audio. This stage helps establish the length, shot editing and general structure/feel of the film. Often, animatics are just black and white storyboard sketches however these two samples are colourized because that was a requirement of these projects.

The Arteest

Freelance illustration and fine art have been the main focus of much of my career but that’s now changing, having recently completed a computer animation program at Sheridan College, I’m now exploring the possibilities of this new field of creativity. I also have experience with animatics and creating storyboards for the film and TV industries. I’m currently based in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
